PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) - Westwood High School head football coach Richard Bishop is enjoying his return to the sidelines in 2025.

Bishop missed five games last season due to being suspended by the UIL for allegations of illegally filming their opponents. The Panthers went 11-1 a year ago and Bishop says the team has confidence again this season.

“I think there’s a lot of confidence. I believe that our kids have prepared the right way,” Bishop said. “We want to focus more on rep-to-rep and play-by-play basis, and I think they’ve taken ownership in that. I think there’s confidence inside the building and we don’t really worry about the outside noise.”
