A skier has died after crashing at a popular NSW ski resort.

Emergency services were called to Thredbo Resort on Tuesday, where the 22-year-old died at the scene.

A Thredbo spokesperson said resort staff were "deeply saddened by the tragic passing" on Tuesday.

"Emergency services were engaged with Thredbo Ski Patrol and a Thredbo medical centre doctor promptly attending the scene," the spokesperson said.

"The Thredbo community extends its heartfelt condolences to family and friends during this incredibly difficult time."

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
