Three people have been arrested following a police pursuit that ended dramatically in Sydney's south when tactical police vehicles sandwiched the alleged getaway car in the middle of the road.

Police began the pursuit after the car left the address of a house connected to a robbery last month.

Officers arrived at Johnstone Street in Peakhurst about 3.10pm where the car allegedly failed to stop for police.

The vehicle was pursued until it was eventually sandwiched on Henry Lawson Drive.

Police allegedly found prohibited drugs in the vehicle.

The driver, 36-year-old William Toko, and two passengers, a 43-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, were arrested and taken to Campsie Police Station.
