NEW YORK CITY, New York — Saturday Night Live is preparing for its 51st season with a notable cast shakeup, adding five new performers while bidding farewell to some familiar faces.

NBC announced the addition of five new featured players: Veronika Slowikowska, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson, Jeremy Culhane and Tommy Brennan. Marshall is already familiar to viewers as part of the Please Don’t Destroy comedy trio, whose popular pre-taped sketches are being phased out.

According to USA Today , Slowikowska, a Canadian actor and comedian, gained attention for her role in Netflix’s “Ginny & Georgia” and her viral TikTok sketches.

Patterson and Culhane are both rising stars in the stand-up and digital comedy scenes, while Brennan has built a following through podcasting and live performance.
