Strong to severe storm chances will move through Appalachia on Thursday. Rain is expected to begin in the morning, with heavy rain and storms continuing into the midday hours. The main impact of this system will be elevated wind gusts, with a slight chance of pea-sized hail, primarily affecting our southern counties. Storm chances will decrease by late evening, and temperatures are forecasted to reach the mid-to-upper 70s throughout the day.
