WATERTOWN – United Way of Greater Waterbury will sponsor a reading event to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, September 13 at the Watertown Library, 470 Main St.

Children ages 3 to 7 are invited to join this free event, where they will hear Peni Clark read her story and lead them in a craft.

Lollypop, the therapy pony, will demonstrate reading skills as professional actor Douglas Schlicher helps parents dramatize any book so to make reading time more fun for everyone.
