AMES, Iowa ( KCCI ) - As the Cy-Hawk Game approaches, Ames is buzzing with excitement — not just for the football rivalry, but also for the arrival of Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy, KCCI reports.

Known for his viral pizza reviews, Portnoy’s visits often bring a surge in business for local pizzerias, and central Iowa establishments are vying for his attention.

At Jeff’s Pizza in Ames, owner Jeff Uetz is eager for Portnoy to stop by.

“I think as a destination for Iowa State, it’s the bold flavors,” Uetz said. “I think he’s got to see how we compare to a lot of other places. So yeah, c’mon Dave!”
