The Cowboys traded Micah Parsons to the Packers last week but apparently the Eagles were interested. ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday reported the Eagles made a “strong play” for Parsons this summer.

It makes sense that Eagles GM Howie Roseman would at least make a phone call when a perennial Pro Bowler at a premium position becomes available. But it also makes sense that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wouldn’t want to trade Parsons in the division, especially to the reigning Super Bowl champs and their Week 1 opponent.
