FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Allen County Public Library is once again delaying the launch of its gateless parking system at the Main Library in downtown Fort Wayne.
In July, ACPL announced it would remove the gates at the three surface parking lots and the underground parking garage on Wayne Street, transitioning to a QR code or text-to-park system.
Library leaders say this change comes as a result of technical and mechanical issues with the parking gates.
The new system was set to be introduced on Aug. 18, but the launch was delayed to Sept. 8.
On Thursday, the library shared that the launch has been pushed back once again.
According to ACPL leaders, the updated launch date will be announced at a later time.
