Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced today the sentencing of 43-year-old Michael Shea Millis, of Oktibbeha County, on one count of felony False Pretense. The case was investigated and prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.

“My office is committed to holding those who defraud Mississippi businesses accountable,” said Attorney General Fitch. “Fraud is not a victimless crime, and I am thankful for the incredible team of investigators and prosecutors who worked to see that justice was served here.”

Authorities say Millis, a former employee of State Farm Insurance Company, knowingly filed false insurance claims in order to defraud the company.
