North Dakota has tens of thousands of job openings , but what are the best places to work?

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey more than 160,000 employees in all 50 states who work for companies of at least 500 people for its list of "America's Best Employers by State."

The survey asked employees how likely they were to recommend their employer and had them evaluate their workplace based on wage parity, work culture, opportunities for advancement and whether the employer acts on serious issues, such as sexual harassment.

All the responses were tallied and used in a scoring system, along with survey data from the past three years, Forbes' report says.
