LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Chula Market is marking its second birthday this weekend with a celebration that takes visitors back to the ’90s and early 2000s.
Event organizer Sandra Rocha Taylor said the event is meant to be a nostalgic throwback. “When you talk about vintage, it’s a variety of things,” she said. Holding up one example, she added, “This is called a Coogi. Back in the day, 90s or so, they were selling for $300-$400. They were really sought after, and some of these vendors really take the time to look and research these kinds of items.”
The market runs Saturday, Sept. 6, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., featuring more than 30 vendors with Y2K art, vintage items, food, and drinks. “The Chula Market is mainly female-driven,” Taylor said. “So there are a lot of female business owners, and th
