The death of a dog days after reports a man had been bitten in Leicestershire is being investigated by multiple agencies.
Officers from Leicestershire Police were first called to reports of a man being bitten by a dog last Saturday (August 30) at an address in Spitfire Road in Castle Donington . Police said they tried to speak to both the owner of the dog and the man who had allegedly been bitten.
Concerns for the welfare of a dog at the same address were then made to police on Tuesday this week (September 2). A force spokesperson said police went to the address with the RSPCA and forced entry into the home where they found a dog dead in the garden.
