A Leicestershire village has been “completely cut off” in the wake of changes to bus services, a resident has claimed. The villager says they have been left without any "viable" service after the cuts came into force.
The changes, which were implemented last month, have seen the village of Ravenstone, near Coalville , no longer served by Arriva's service 15 bus. New housing developments in nearby Hugglescote and Ellistown have seen the 15 re-routed there, with Ravenstone removed from its timetable.
The 15 had helped provide hourly runs between the village and Coalville, with its replacement - Centrebus' LC6 service - not offering the same option. Resident Allan Reed told LeicestershireLive that Ravenstone had “been left without any viable bus service” in the wake of the changes.
