Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Greater Sudbury and surrounding areas, warning of strong winds expected on Friday.

What to expect: Southwesterly wind gusts from 70 to 90 km/hr are possible from late Friday morning into Friday evening as a low-pressure system moves through northeastern Ontario.
