HARLINGEN — Friday’s the night.
The Harlingen community tonight will once again fill the stands for the annual Bird Bowl football game between the Harlingen High School Cardinals and the Harlingen High School South Hawks.
But there’s a new kid in town. At the game at Boggus Stadium the district will announce it’s first ever “Bird Bowl Baby.” This new event is the result of a new partnership between the Harlingen school district and Valley Baptist Medical Center.
“We are honored to be celebrating our hatch baby and introducing this concept to our community,” said Jennifer Bartnesky Smith, chief operating officer at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen.
