REEDSPORT, Ore. - Schools in the Reedsport School District are under a 'Secure' status as directed by the Reedsport Police Department, according to school district officials.

According to the district, this means no one is entering or leaving the buildings. This action is out of an abundance of caution to ensure safety. All students and staff are confirmed safe and are continuing their day as usual inside the buildings.

The district said they will keep families updated, particularly as the school day ends and pick-up time approaches.
