TIPTONVILLE, Tenn. (WMC) - During a preliminary hearing at the Lake County Courthouse, Judge Andrew Cook stated there is enough probable cause to send Austin Drummond’s case to the Grand Jury.
Cook said the state showed probable cause for all of the first-degree murder charges and the aggravated kidnapping charge. However, Cook said there was not enough proof to show Drummond was a convicted felon.
“The court does find the probable cause,” said Cook. “Aside from the proof of Agent Tubbs, there was not any proof put forward to show whether or not he is a convicted felon.”
DA Danny Goodman called five witnesses to the stand to testify. Those included an officer with state parks, a Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy, a Dyersburg Police Detective, an FBI agent, and a TBI agent.
