MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Suntria Stackins appeared in court for an arraignment on Friday after being charges alongside her teen son in connection to a shooting on Beale Street .

Stackins, 49, is facing charges as an accessory to attempted second-degree murder.

Her 16-year-old son is charged with attempted second-degree murder and employment of a firearm to commit a dangerous felony.

Stackins was later released on her own recognizance, without bail.

The mother is now claiming law enforcement officers never told her why they showed up at her house and that she did not know why her son was being arrested until after it happened.

The shooting happened just after 10 p.m. on Beale Street near South Main Street on Monday.
