GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) - School District 51 has reached a historic milestone by achieving top academic ratings for all its schools, marking the first time since 2010 that none of its schools scored in the bottom two state levels.
The district's success comes as part of its three-year strategic plan, which aimed for 100% of schools to achieve either 'Performance School' or 'Improvement School' status. This achievement is a significant step forward in the district's educational goals.
"We just finished our three year strategic plan, and our big goal in there was to have 100% of our schools at the top two academic levels," said Dr. Brian Hill, Superintendent of District 51.
