A Revere man was indicted in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a Massachusetts State Police trooper hurt and hospitalized for almost two months, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden’s office said Thursday.

Akram El Moukhtari, 18, faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, larceny of a motor vehicle, reckless operation, leaving the scene of an accident and possession of ammunition, Hayden’s office said in a statement. He was indicted by a Suffolk County grand jury on Thursday.

An arraignment date has not been scheduled. El Moukhtari previously pleaded not guilty at his initial arraignment.
