The Spirit of British Columbia is stopped along its route to assist with a marine rescue on Thursday evening, according to BC Ferries.
The ferry left Swartz Bay and was heading to Tsawwassen when it stopped, and BC Ferries says it will be delayed arriving as a result.
The BC Ferries tracker shows the Spirit of BC had just passed Mayne Island, where it is stopped.
This comes just one day after a man went overboard on a BC Ferries sailing, shortly after the ferry had left Tsawwassen.
