DELTA, Colo. (KREX) — On Sept. 13, the Montrose-Olathe-Delta (MOD) Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place at Confluence Park, located at 440 North Palmer Street in Delta. Registration for the event will open at 9 a.m. and the walk will start after a 10 a.m. opening ceremony.

Joining 12 other Walk to End Alzheimer's across the state, the walk aims to raise funds to provide essential services to families and support research to find a cure. MOD Walk's goal is to contribute $28,150 towards a collective state goal of $2.7 million.

The fundraising from the walks is the primary source of funds for the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado, which allows it to continue providing information and services free of charge to those who receive an Alzheimer's diagnosis, their family and caregivers. In
