ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- A former suburban school nurse has pleaded guilty to misusing medications meant for students .

Tory Eitz worked at Westgate Elementary School in Arlington Heights.

Eitz was sentenced Friday to at least 90 days in the Cook County Jail and two and a half years probation after she pled guilty to her charges.

The parents of several children have also filed a civil lawsuit against her.

Lawyers for those families called the conviction "an important step towards accountability."
