A hostile Adelaide crowd has enraged footy fans after they booed Collingwood star Isaac Quaynor, who is rumoured to have been on the end of a homophobic slur from suspended Crows midfielder Izak Rankine.
Collingwood were a class above all night, but their stirring 24-point win to send them into a Preliminary Final has been overshadowed by the ugly scenes.
Every time Magpies defender Quaynor had his hands on the ball, boos rang out from the Adelaide crowd.
Former AFLW player and Triple M commentator Kate McCarthy quickly called out the behaviour, saying, "Stay classy, Crows fans".
"Booing someone for calling out homophobia is truly something, isn't it?," she wrote in a post on X.
