The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that work planned for this coming weekend on the Route 222 bridge spanning Church Street (Route 1051) in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, has been rescheduled.

This work, which includes bridge slab repairs and roadway concrete patching, is now planned for the following weekend, Sept. 12-15, a press release said.

Weather permitting, this work will now be performed from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, to 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15. There will be lane restrictions in both directions of Route 222 in the area of the bridge. An 11-foot width restriction will be in place.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
