A DOCTOR has been arrested after he allegedly asked a mum if he could rape her five-year-old daughter over text.

Dr William Murdoch was arrested in a paedophile sting operation after he was accused of sending a string of sick messages to an undercover officer.

A cop from the Port St. Lucie Police Department posed as a mum and started a "platonic relationship " with Murdoch .

Murdoch is alleged to have grown close to the parent after finding out she had two young daughters aged five and nine, police believe.

During the investigation , police uncovered “stomach churning messages” sent from the doctor.

One conversation detailed Murdoch's plans to groom the child and “turn the situation sexual", according to police documents.
