Fire broke out Friday in a second-story unit of a Northridge apartment building and firefighters had it out before it could spread.
The fire was reported at 3:08 a.m. at 19036 W. Parthenia St., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Lyndsey Lantz.
“Knockdown declared in 14 minutes by first-arriving companies, who will remain on scene for overhaul of the damage,” Lantz said.
No injuries were reported but occupants of the apartment were displaced and received help from the American Red Cross, she added.
