JETBLUE has become the first airline to partner with a major new Amazon scheme.
The new plans will give passengers faster Wi-Fi which will be completely free, while onboard the company’s flights .
JetBlue has signed on to Project Kuiper, Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network.
According to Amazon, the satellites will deliver higher speeds and lower latency than traditional geostationary (GEO) satellites.
This will allow more intensive internet usage, such as streaming and video conferencing, to work even in-flight.
However, the commercial service of Project Kuiper will only be rolled out later in the year or in early 2026.
