LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Louisville bank teller is in jail after police say she stole more than $10,000 from her job.
LMPD said the theft centers around an online relationship and that’s where the money went.
The arrest report for Lois Kemp said she was the lead teller at the Cedar Springs Fifth-Third Bank, inside the Kroger. She’s accused of stealing money from the bank between July 28 and Aug. 12 and sending that money and gift cards to someone with whom she was involved in an online relationship.
Court documents don’t specific where in the world the money was being sent to and the total amount hasn’t been determined, but police believe it’s over $10,000.
Kemp is charged with felony theft and is scheduled to be in court Oct. 15.
