MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police are looking to identify a group of males who they said punched a man in the head over the weekend, knocking him unconscious.

While the attack reportedly occurred over the weekend, the man reported the incident on Tuesday. He said he and his friends had gotten into an argument with a group of males on State Street.

Later in the night, the males approached the man as he was going into a business in the 300 block of Frances Street to get some food. Another argument started and, as the man tried to walk inside, he was reportedly punched in the side of the head.

The man reported losing consciousness and hitting his head on the ground.
