MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A Peterborough man died after his golf cart rolled over while he was working, Marlborough police said.

An employee of a nearby motel called 911 after witnessing the incident, officials said.

Authorities responded to the Extra Space Storage facility on Route 12 on Thursday morning, where they found 62-year-old Iain Walton, an employee, pinned underneath the golf cart.

Crews freed Walton and attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead after arriving at a local hospital.

Police said Walton appeared to be making a three-point turn when the cart, which was in neutral, rolled over the edge of a steep embankment.
