MANCHESTER, N.H. —
A federal court in New Hampshire is putting a pause on a law aimed at restricting diversity, equity and inclusion programs in state public schools.
This law went into effect on July 1.

The groups that filed this lawsuit said the law violates the First Amendment rights of educators and students.
They also said it is unlawfully vague and would have forced K-12 public schools, as well as colleges and universities, to guess what was prohibited or risk losing funding.
This temporary block lasts until Sept. 18.
