BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Three people are facing human trafficking charges after agencies uncovered their plan to move undocumented immigrants from Texas to Alabama, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation started in August when Denham Springs Police contacted the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Homeland Security Task Force about a possible kidnapping at the Pilot Gas Station.
According to Sheriff Jason Ard, LPSO’s HSI Task Force Officers/Homeland Security Agents arrived on scene and took the lead over the investigation.
