DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – State police arrested and charged a woman accused of stealing and redeeming instant scratch-off tickets while employed at a Ridgeville convenience store.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division announced Friday the arrest of 32-year-old Alexandria Renee Talley on charges of intent to defraud, counterfeit game tickets, and attempt to influence a game by coercion.

According to arrest affidavits, Talley acquired several instant scratch-off tickets at Carter's Fast Stop #3 on Highway 78 without paying for them in July. Documents say she then redeemed the tickets while employed at the business.

Officials say Talley’s actions caused the store to lose revenue.
