Country music singer John Rich is challenging Texas megachurch pastor Joel Osteen.

According to The Blast , Rich appeared on the “Shawn Ryan Show” podcast and began discussing Osteen, a “prosperity preacher” and one of the most famous religious figures in the U.S.

Rich, 51, says he believes the “end times” are near and that Osteen won’t discuss it with his congregants because he doesn’t want to make them uncomfortable.

“To say that God would never make his people go through something like that is one of the most ignorant, spiritually ignorant things a person could say,” Rich said on the podcast, according to the Daily Mail .
