The Yolo County Sheriff’s Department joined forces with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies in a three-day undercover operation in July, targeting adults who attempted to exploit children online.
Over 90 personnel from 21 allied agencies partook in Operation SPF-13, according to a post from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Undercover detectives posed as 13-year-old (and younger) children on various social media platforms, and during these communications, the undercover detectives made their ages clear to the suspects.
