NEW PALTZ, N.Y. — The SUNY New Paltz department of music is set to host its fall concert series starting Tuesday, Sept. 23, according to an announcement.

The series features a lineup of 13 shows spanning genres, cultures, and musical traditions, with performances by students, faculty and special guest artists. All performances are scheduled to take place at Studley Theatre or at Shepard Recital Hall on the SUNY New Paltz campus, 1 Hawk Drive.

The series kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Studley Theatre, with a Persian percussion performance by Amir Etemadzadeh and associate professor and director of piano studies Alex Peh. The week after, on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m., the Faculty Jazz Ensemble will take the stage.
