“It was a tremendous effort and once again it just goes to show you that the sacrifices these guys make for their teammates and the desire to do everything to help their team win and sometimes it just doesn‘t work out,” O Shea said.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be without the services of slot back Dalton Schoen for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

“It is tough,” Blue Bombers head coach Mike O Shea said on Friday afternoon. “In that first Calgary game (in Week 4) he suffered an ACL injury again, and the decision he made was one that other guys make as they just want to play for their teammates, they want to lay it on the line for them and he worked his ass off to get back into a position to try and do that.”

Schoen tore the same ACL as he did last June against the BC Lions.
