Hundreds of students at duPont Manual High School participated in a walkout Aug. 5 to protest gun violence.

The event, organized by the school's chapter of Students Demand Action, called for stricter gun legislation at the federal and state levels.

Manual students involved with Students Demand Action have spoken with lawmakers to voice their concerns.

Holding orange signs and chanting “no more guns,” students at duPont Manual High School in Louisville participated in a walkout Sept. 5 to call for a ban on assault weapons at the federal and state levels.

The walkout was organized by the school’s chapter of Students Demand Action , a group of student leaders across the country who are “passionate about the gun violence prevention movement.”
