HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - The man who drove into a Harrisburg toy store last year, killing another man in the process, has pleaded guilty.

According to court records, Ricardo Contreras-Cordero pled guilty on August 20 to murder in the third degree, homicide by vehicle while DUI, and homicide by vehicle.

Judge Deborah Curcillo sentenced Contreras-Cordero to 5-10 years in prison for the murder charge and 3-6 years on the homicide by vehicle charge, according to court records.

Contreras-Cordero was sentenced to three years of probation for the homicide by vehicle charge.

On Oct. 6, 2024, Contrera-Cordero was driving at a high rate of speed and crashed into the Treasure Trove Toy Store on 2nd Street, killing 68-year-old Eusebio Forestier, who was operating a mobility scooter.
