HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- Three people were injured after police said a woman drove around barriers and through Harrisburg's Kipona festival, but many more people witnessed it.

Now, victims and witnesses of the Sept. 1 incident could be eligible for thousands of dollars in compensation.

The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency and the Dauphin County Victim/Witness Assistance Program extended victim status to anyone who witnessed the car drive through the festival. This makes them, along with those injured, eligible for a program covering financial burdens caused by crime.
