STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WHTM) -- A late-game comeback forced double overtime in Friday's battle of the undefeateds between Harrisburg and State College.

The Cougars were on the road up north for a Friday night matchup against the Little Lions.

Harrisburg (2-0) hoped to roar into Memorial Field and knock off State College (2-0) in a key Mid Penn-Commonwealth matchup.

The Cougars held a 34-20 lead with four minutes left in regulation when the Lions closed the gap, knotting the game at 34 apiece, leading to overtime.

Both squads scored touchdowns and a subsequent two-point conversion to force a second overtime period.

State College had to settle for a field goal, opening the door for a Harrisburg walk-off.
