A family outing at the Shoshone Ice Caves in Lincoln County, Idaho, took a frightening turn when a walkway bridge collapsed, sending several people into icy waters below.
With a camera and selfie stick in hand, the Garcia family from Idaho Falls was enjoying a Labor Day weekend tour.
During the 5 p.m. tour, a guide was explaining the cave's history when the left side of the bridge suddenly gave way, KTVB reports.
Jacqueline Garcia, her 6-year-old daughter, and her 57-year-old father fell a few feet into shallow water that was pooling atop a floor of solid ice. Several other people on the tour also fell when the bridge gave way, but Jacqueline's husband, Francisco, her mother, and their other children managed to cros
