Park City has tapped a relative newcomer to the Marsac Building to serve as the acting city manager beginning later in September.

Jodi Emery, a Park City native, is a deputy city manager and started the role in April.

City Manager Matt Dias made the appointment shortly before his planned departure. Mayor Nann Worel provided consent for the appointment, which is effective Sept. 10. Dias is leaving the municipal government for an unspecified post in the private sector.

Emery is from Park City and arrived at the Marsac Building from a role at the University of Utah, where she was the associate dean for administrative operations.
