Feeling like summer through the day today with high temperatures reaching the lower 90s. Tonight we will watch for the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms as a cold front approaches the area.

Still a little uncertainty with the timing as some models have the storms moving into the Shoals as early as 7pm and some as late as 5am Saturday morning.

If you are heading to the football games this evening just be prepared for the chance of storms mainly over in the Shoals for game time. The SPC has parts of North Alabama in a level 2 out of 5 chance for severe weather tonight. Gusty winds will be the main threat if storms do move in but we will also watch for the chance of hail and an isolated spin up tornado.
