Tornado touches down in upstate NY: See the damage left behind

The National Weather Service in Binghamton confirmed that a tornado touched down in central New York on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 4.

Rated an EF-0, the tornado had estimated peak winds of 80 mph and touched down in Ava, Oneida County, where it was on the ground for roughly two miles, according to a report from the Weather Service.
