NASHVILLE — The sports complex at Vanderbilt University on the west end of this booming (read: traffic-filled) Tennessee city fits into a tight space on the corner of Natchez Trace and Jess Neely Drive.

There is Charles Hawkins Field, the cozy baseball stadium with its own version of Boston's famed Green Monster. There is Memorial Gymnasium, the basketball arena made of brick that serves as that left-field wall.

And tucked up tightly against those two facilities is what is now called FirstBank Stadium, Vanderbilt's football venue that will serve for the first time as the site of the Football Championship Subdivision national title game in January 2026.
