COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Four years after a 16-year-old was fatally shot in Columbia, police and his family are still looking to find who did it.
Josiah Sanders was inside his grandmother’s home when a bullet came through the front door and hit him. At the time, Sanders was a sophomore at Lower Richland High School.
The Columbia Police Department says they still don’t have anyone in custody or know who did it, but they do say that Sanders had nothing to do with the shooting.
“We do know from some witness statements that there were people outside when it happened, so we want to find out who those persons are,” CPD Deputy Chief Melron Kelly. “Four years ago, some of them may have been school-aged or adults now and may feel better coming forward. We know that Josiah was totally innocent.
