FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A man accused in a 2024 shooting has accepted a plea deal that could dismiss an attempted murder charge against him.

Michael Kelso, 32, has pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal recklessness, one count of battery by bodily waste and a habitual offender enhancement.

The plea agreement dismisses three other charges against Kelso: attempted murder, criminal confinement and resisting law enforcement.

The agreement leaves the defendant’s sentence up to Allen Superior Court Judge Fran Gull.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 23.
